Facts About Norway You Might Not Know

First off, Norway is very diverse, from the west coast fjords to snow-dusted mountains to experiencing the culture of Oslo to even going to the Arctic Circle, you can even stay in a snow hotel! The name of the hotel is Snow Resort Kirkenes.

Secondly, have you ever wanted to see an actual polar bear? Well, it is possible! In Svalbard, it is known to be called “The Realm of the Polar Bears”, why, you may ask? Because there are way more polar bears than humans there.

Third, Norway is one of the happiest countries in the world; it is a safe and peaceful country, and it also holds the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo yearly.

Norway has a hop-on, hop-off cruise along the coast. It makes for some good memories! On another note, did you know the sun does not set in summer? Only in Northern Norway! The capital is a literal modern art hub with lots of amazing art! Norway is also a great country to see the northern lights.

Norway has also knighted a penguin. Yes, a literal penguin. There is not one but 2 languages in Norway, Norwegian and Sami.

This penguin is named "Sir Nils Olav III" and he lives in an Edinburgh zoo. He was knighted in 2008 with King Harald V's approval and promoted to Major General in 2023, making him the World's Highest Ranking Penguin.
