Job Skills/Essential Functions: 

• Support individuals in daily living activities. 

• Collaborate with individuals, families and the community. 

• Support individuals with their skill development. 

• Utilize communication techniques tailored to individual needs. 

• Provide personal care assistance as required, including medication administration. 

• Prepare meals, perform housekeeping duties and provide transportation. 

• Serve as a positive role model and encourage interpersonal skill development.

Skills: 

• Empathy and an interest in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. 

• Demonstrated respect and dignity in all interactions. 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply behaviour support techniques. 

• Strong observational and multitasking skills. 

• Flexibility and adaptability to new tasks and environments. 

• Experience in disability work is an asset.
