Group Home Team Leader

Starting Wage: $22.55 per hour

Average: 32 hours per week, with potential for additional hours

We are looking for a caring, dependable and compassionate Group Home Team Leader to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting people, building meaningful relationships, providing leadership to others, and helping individuals live meaningful and connected lives in their community.

The Team Leader plays an important role in supporting the day-t0-day operation of the Group Home while helping ensure participants receive respectful, person-centered support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Group Home Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to staff while helping ensure quality support for the individuals we serve. Responsibilities may include:

Supporting participant safety, dignity, rights and choice
Providing person-centered support and promoting independence and community participation.
Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and direction Support Workers
Ensuring staff follow individual support plans, CBSP's and Agency Policies
Assisting with staff scheduling and coverage
Supporting participant appointments, activities and community involvement.
Assisting with documentation and administrative responsibilities.
Supporting household organization, groceries and general Group Home needs
Communicating effectively with participants, families, coworkers and the team.
Identifying and communicating participant, staff, safety or operational concerns to the Executive Director.
Maintaining a safe, positive and respectful environment.

We are looking for a caring, dependable and compassionate DSP to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, building meaningful relationships, and supporting individuals in living as independently and confidently as possible.

Previous experience as a DSP is not required. We are willing to train the right person on the job. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability, patience and genuine desire to support others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Disability Support Professional, you will provide individualized support based on the needs and goals of the person you are supporting. Responsibilities may include:

Providing compassionate, respectful and person-centered support
Assisting with the daily living activities and routines
Supporting independence and encouraging participation in the community
Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
Providing companionship and social support
Following individual support plans and established procedures
Maintaining a safe, positive and respectful environment
Communicating effectively with individuals, families, coworkers and other members of the support team.
Completing required documentation and reporting
Supporting individuals in making choices and achieving their personal goals.

This position follows a 3-week rotating schedule with a combination of day, evening and overnight shifts.

This position averages 32 hours per week.
